Straight drop awnings are a roller style of awning which travels in a vertical direction straight up and down. These awnings in their simplest version consists of a roller tube, fabric skin, bottom bar and a pair of universal brackets. There are 3 control options to raise and lower this type of awning and they are, spring assisted, crank operated and motorised. Most straight drops awnings need to be anchored down into position to create and maintain tension on the awnings fabric. Clips and belts are used to anchor the awnings into the desired position. Straight drop awnings can also be manufactured with cable guide wire options. All straight drop awnings with the exception of spring operated, are gravity fed.
